Happy Friday, my Heroes! In lieu of a full blog post, I’m honored and privileged to share these two links (to the same piece). This is a more personal piece I’ve written recently and it was published on a FABULOUS site called HandwrittenWork.com. I strongly encourage you to not only read the piece in the link below, but to explore this Handwritten Work site, sign up for their readership, and then share in the comments below your thoughts on handwritten work vs. typed work.
I will say, my Heroes, that there is certainly a special power in the handwritten word. Personally, I’ve lost touch, a bit, with all of the technology so readily available at our fingertips, with taking that precious moment to hand-write a card or a note of thanks; yet, when we take those same fingers, empower them with pen and paper, they come alive in ways unmatched by any keyboard. There’s a certain….LIFE in those
handwritten letters; an energy that flows into the soul, in depths that are felt, well, differently, from a keyboard.
So, my Heroes, read, enjoy, share, and, should you feel the urge to experience the surge…..grab a pen, or pencil, or crayon, or any medium available, something to write on, and take even just five precious minutes to write SOMETHING. Anything. Maybe a favorite quotation? Maybe a quick note to let someone know you care? Maybe a reminder to yourself of the true Hero that you are because, well, you ARE. Just write something. Then let me know how it felt to do so.
